Jared’s football career lies at the roots of where the Halo of Hope Foundation sprouted from. During his time at the University of Nebraska, Jared spent time visiting the Children’s Oncology Department at Omaha Children’s Hospital. Jared and teammates visited children, brought them Nebraska gear and formed last relationships with many of the children. In 1996, Jared was selected as part of the Good Works Team in the NCAA and NAIA. After spending 7 years in the NFL, Jared retired, but continued with his giving spirit. He joined from Jerry Wunsch at the Circle of Friends Camp, and from here, Halo of Hope was born.
